Al Capitolo Generale i domenicani in Bologna nel 1221, Sadoc fu scelto per assistere il Padrone Paul dell'Ungheria a istituire una provincia in Ungheria. Sadoc più tardi passò alla Polonia dove lui servì come predicatore durante quasi quarant'anni. Nel 1260 lui e otto domenicani da Sandomierz furono martirizzati dai Tartari siccome loro cantavano il Balsamo Regina a Compline; il costume di cantare il Balsamo Regina al letto di morte di domenicani deriva da quest'incidente. At the General Chapter the Dominicans in Bologna in 1221, Sadoc was chosen to assist Master Paul of Hungary to establish a province in Hungary. Sadoc later moved on to Poland where he served as preacher for nearly forty years. In 1260 he and eight Dominicans from Sandomierz were martyred by the Tartars as they were singing the Salve Regina at Compline; the custom of singing the Salve Regina at the deathbed of Dominicans stems from this incident.
