[Brahma]O nome usado em dois sentidos na mitologia hindu. O substantivo de Sânscrito pára o brâmane nos seus meios de forma neutrais o poder que resulta de oração ou oração no resumo, e na forma masculina significa aquele que possui este poder, daqui também a casta sacerdotal. Brahma é o nominativo do brâmane. Ele refere-se (neutral) a Atman, criador e espírito mundial, e também (masculino) ao aspecto pessoal daquela divindade, a atividade criativa, que se forma com Vishnu e Shiva o Trimurti hindu ou tríade. O deus é representado como barbudo com quatro cabeças, cada um coroado com uma tiara pontuda, e com um cetro. O seu templo está em Pushkar, Rajputana.
