Einer der Namen der kleinen Gedächtniskapellen, die in frühsten christlichen Friedhöfen auch aufgestellt sind, genannt memoriae martyrum. Es nimmt an, dass die eindrucksvollen Gebäude, die von Papst Fabian (236236-250250) aufgestellt sind, cellae waren, der für das Feiern des Begräbnisses agapae verwendet ist.
