Er war gewählter Abt, aber war so streng, dass er Streit im Haus verursachte, und so zog er sich vom Büro eine Zeit lang zurück. Jedoch wurde er später zu seiner Position und gediente Jahrzehnte als Abt mit viel mehr väterlicher Einstellung zurückgerufen. Während seiner Zeit brachte er mehr als 3.000 Mönche herein, die dann zu gefundenen anderen Häusern ausgingen und den Glauben ausbreiteten. However, he was later recalled to his position and served decades as abbot with a much more fatherly attitude. During his time he brought in over 3,000 monks who then went out to found other houses and spread the Faith.
