Cómo formular preguntas en inglés

Las preguntas en inglés siguen estructuras específicas según su tipo y tiempo verbal. Aquí te explicamos cómo construirlas correctamente.

1. Preguntas Cerradas (Sí/No)

Estructura: Auxiliar + Sujeto + Verbo principal ?

3. Preguntas sobre el Sujeto (Sin Auxiliar)

Estructura: Palabra interrogativa (sujeto) + Verbo ?

• "Who broke the vase?" (¿Quién rompió el jarrón?).
• "What happened?" (¿Qué pasó?).

Comparación:

• "Who called you?" (¿Quién te llamó? → who es el sujeto).
• "Who did you call?" (¿A quién llamaste? → who es el complemento).

4. Question Tags (Para Confirmar)

Estructura: Frase afirmativa/negativa + , + auxiliar opuesto + pronombre ?

• "You like tea, don’t you?" (Te gusta el té, ¿no?).
• "She isn’t coming, is she?" (Ella no viene, ¿verdad?).

Regla:
✔ Si la frase es afirmativa → tag negativo.
✔ Si la frase es negativa → tag afirmativo.

5. Consejos Clave

✔ Preguntas cerradas: Siempre empiezan con un auxiliar (Do, Did, Is, etc.).
✔ Preguntas abiertas: Usan palabras WH- al inicio (What, Where, etc.).
✔ Preguntas sobre el sujeto: No llevan auxiliar (Who/What como sujetos).
