How to improve the quality of machine translation

If you translate manually typed texts, follow these easy tips to avoid translation errors.

  1. Try to avoid spelling errors and typos.
  2. Take care with punctuation: even a comma or a dash can affect the translation result.
  3. Pay attention to articles and function words.
  4. Don’t forget to use diacritical marks (for example é, ò, ü), when translating from French, Spanish, Portuguese or German.
  5. Don’t forget to capitalize first names, last names, cities, company names and other types of proper nouns.
  6. In German, nouns are always capitalized.

In the section Dictionary you can see translations of single words and phrases and read grammatical information.
